The production method of this chemical is below: First decompose the fergusonite to get the mishmetal containing Y2O350% and CeO2 4%, and then have the cerium removing nitric acid rare earth, and then apply the N263-LiNO to divide to get the yttrium rare earth; Next dissolve with acid and then extract with N263-solvent-NH4SCN system to get high purified yttrium, and the raffinate is yttrium (Y) rare earth; Then add Tm, yb, Lu heavy rare-earth into the organic phase and then extract it with N263-solvent to divide Lu and tm, and next have the backextraction with muriatic acid to make Tm and yb in the aqueous phase; Lastly, go through the process of sediment, filtering, burning to get this chemical. The chemical equation is below: Yb2(CkO4)3→Yb2O3+3CO2+3CO.
