Inorganic Chemicals

Inorganic chemistry is a science that makes experimental research and theoretical explanation on the properties and reactions of all elements and their compounds except hydrocarbons and their derivatives. it is the earliest branch of chemistry. Usually inorganic compounds, as opposed to organic compounds, refer to compounds that do not contain C-H bonds, so carbon monoxide, carbon disulfide, cyanide, thiocyanate, carbonic acid and carbonate all belong to the category of inorganic chemistry. However, the boundary between the two is not strict, there is a great overlap between them, organometallic chemistry is an example.
In the past, people thought that inorganic matter refers to inanimate matter, such as rock, soil, etc., while organic matter is produced by living animals and plants, such as protein, cellulose and so on. However, in 1828, German chemist Wheeler inadvertently converted ammonium cyanate into urea by heating. Ammonium cyanate is an inorganic compound and urea is an organic compound. This experimental result gave the theory of "vitality" the first impact. Due to the improvement and development of synthetic methods, many organic compounds are synthesized in non-organisms, and this theory is gradually abandoned.
