メタノールナトリウム

メタノールナトリウムは白色から淡黄色の固体であり、通常はメタノール溶液または流動性のよい粉末として供給される。それは潮解性を示し、非揮発性であり、融点に達する前に分解する（分解開始温度：約127 ℃）。メタノールナトリウムはアルカリ金属アルコキシドであり、有機合成における触媒および試薬として広く用いられる強塩基である。主な工業的用途には、バイオディーゼル燃料製造のためのトランスエステル化反応や、医薬品、農薬、染料の合成における重要な中間体としての利用が含まれる。また、シリコーンポリマー、コーティング剤、特殊エステルの製造においても用いられ、制御された脱プロトン化あるいは求核的メチル化が要求される工程で使用される。
