三臭化リン

三臭化リンは、無色から淡黄色の発煙性液体で、刺激臭を有する。湿気に対して不安定であり、揮発性を示し、融点は−41 ℃、沸点は173 ℃である。これは無機リンハライドであり、塩素化および脱水剤として広く用いられる反応性の高い試薬である。主な産業用途は、アルキルブロミド、医薬品（例：抗コリン作用薬）、農薬（植物成長調整剤および殺虫剤を含む）、ならびに難燃剤の合成における重要な中間体としての利用である。また、リン系触媒やコーティング材・ポリマー添加剤向けの特殊化学品の製造にも用いられる。
