라우르산

라우르산은 상온에서 흰색 결정성 고체로, 약간의 비누 냄새가 나고 휘발성이 낮으며, 약 44–46 °C에서 녹고 대기압에서 약 298–300 °C에서 끓는다. 이는 포화 중쇄 지방산(C12:0)으로 분류되며 유기 화학 중간체이다. 산업적으로 주로 라우릴 황산염 계면활성제(예: 소듐 라우릴 설페이트), 화장품 및 윤활제용 에스터, 부식 억제제 및 섬유 유연제용 아미드의 전구체로 사용된다. 주요 응용 분야는 개인용품, 세정제, 산업용 세정 제형, 특수 폴리머 등이다.

The surfactants types of dodecanoic acid are listed in the attached table of this item. Some surfactants of the derivatives of dodecanoic acid and dodecanol are also antiseptics, such as dodecyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (geramine), dodecyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium bromide (bromo-geramine) and dodecyl dimethyl (2-phenoxyethyl) ammonium bromide (domiphen bromide). The dodecyldimethyllammonium-2,4,5-trichlorophenolate in these derivatives can be used as citrus preservative. Dodecanoic acid also has many applications in plastic additives, food additives, spices and pharmaceutical industries.
