ステアリン酸

ステアリン酸は、室温で白色の蝋状固体であり、微かにラードのような臭気を持ち、揮発性が低い。融点は約69–70 ℃、大気圧下での沸点は約361 ℃である。これは飽和長鎖脂肪酸（オクタデカン酸）であり、脂肪族有機化学物質および天然のカルボン酸に分類される。工業的には、ステアリン酸は主に金属ステアレート（例：カルシウム、マグネシウム、亜鉛ステアレート）、アミド誘導体、および潤滑剤、可塑剤、乳化剤に用いられるエステルの前駆体として利用される。主な応用分野には、パーソナルケア製品（石鹸、化粧品）、ゴム加工（加硫活性化剤）、プラスチック（酸捕捉剤および型離型剤）、およびコーティング（消光剤およびレオロジー改質剤）が含まれる。

Medicine: it can be used for the preparation of ointments, suppositories, etc., as well as being used in the manufacture of cosmetics, candles, waterproof agent and polishing agent. The product can be used as a lubricant, defoamers and food additives in the food industry as well as the raw materials of glycerol stearate, stearic acid sorbitol anhydride esters and sucrose esters. It can also be used as standard reference product for gas analysis as well as the preparation of soap, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and other organic chemicals.
