데카노산

데카노산은 상온에서 흰색에서 연한 갈색의 결정성 고체이며, 염소나 땀 냄새를 연상시키는 약간 불쾌한 냄새가 난다. 융점은 31–34 °C이고, 비점은 270 °C이다. 이는 포화 직쇄 알리파틱 카복실산(C₁₀H₂₀O₂)으로, 중쇄 지방산에 속한다. 산업적으로 주로 에스터, 금속 비누(예: 데카노에이트), 가소제 합성용 화학 중간체로 사용된다. 데카노산 유도체는 윤활유, 화장품, 항미생물제 및 코팅재와 잉크용 폴리에스터 및 알키드 수지의 공중합체 또는 개질제로서 광범위하게 활용된다.
