Zinc Stannate Market share- How big is the Zinc Stannate market?

China and the United States are the leading exporters of Zinc Stannate, accounting for the majority of global shipments, while Germany, South Korea, and Japan represent the largest importing markets. Zinc Stannate prices have remained relatively stable amid consistent demand from flame-retardant and ceramic applications. Exports from China have expanded modestly over the past three years, while imports into the European Union have shown steady growth, reflecting sustained industrial uptake in polymer and coating sectors.

About Zinc Stannate

Zinc stannate (CAS 12036-37-2) is a white, odorless, crystalline solid that is thermally stable and non-volatile, with no well-defined melting point due to decomposition above ~1200 °C. It is an inorganic mixed metal oxide, specifically a zinc–tin spinel compound (Zn₂SnO₄). Primarily valued for its flame-retardant synergy and UV stability, it is used as a functional additive—not a reactive intermediate—in polymer formulations, particularly polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyolefins, and engineering thermoplastics. Its main commercial applications are in flame-retardant cables, wire insulation, building materials, and specialty coatings where halogen-free fire safety performance is required.
