China and Germany are the leading exporters of antimony trifluoride, accounting for the majority of global shipments, while the United States, South Korea, and Japan represent the largest importers. Antimony trifluoride prices have remained relatively stable amid consistent demand from fluorination and catalyst manufacturing sectors. Export volumes from China have increased modestly over the past two years, while German exports have held steady, reflecting sustained industrial demand in Asia and North America.

Antimony trifluoride Market Analysis

Recent Market Intelligence Report on Antimony Trifluoride

I. Market Price Dynamics
- Price Discrepancies: Significant price variations exist in the antimony trifluoride market, influenced by product specifications, suppliers, and order volume. For example, one supplier offers analytical reagent-grade antimony trifluoride at a price range of RMB 13–15 per kilogram (minimum order: ≥1 kg), whereas another supplier quotes RMB 320 per bottle (minimum order: ≥1 bottle), highlighting the impact of packaging specifications on pricing.
- Price Volatility: Recent market prices have exhibited volatility, with some suppliers adjusting quotations in response to evolving market conditions. For instance, one supplier reduced the price of analytical reagent-grade antimony trifluoride from RMB 15/kg to RMB 13/kg in June 2026 for orders of ≥100 kg, reflecting intensifying market competition.

II. Supply-Demand Analysis
- Supply Side: The number of domestic antimony trifluoride manufacturers is limited, resulting in a relatively high market concentration. Key suppliers include Rugao Zhongchang Chemical Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Guangfu Fine Chemical Research Institute. These enterprises hold competitive advantages through advanced production processes and consistent product quality.
- Demand Side: Demand for antimony trifluoride continues to grow, primarily driven by rapid development in downstream sectors such as electronics, new energy, and aerospace. In particular, demand for high-purity antimony trifluoride remains exceptionally strong in semiconductor manufacturing and new-energy battery applications.

III. Regional Market Characteristics
- Dominance of the East China Region: East China serves as the primary production and consumption hub for antimony trifluoride in China, accounting for approximately 45% of the national market share. The region benefits from a well-established chemical industry cluster, which helps reduce production costs and enhance market competitiveness.
- Regional Disparities: North China and Central China combined account for about 20% of the market, indicating regional disparities across China. Factors such as local policy support intensity and industrial chain maturity significantly influence market development across different regions.

IV. Policy Environment Impact
- Policy Support: The Chinese government has introduced a series of policies promoting high-quality development in the chemical industry; high-purity antimony trifluoride has been explicitly listed as a priority-supported category, providing institutional backing for industry growth.
- Environmental Regulations: Stricter environmental regulations are prompting enterprises to increase investment in clean production technologies and waste treatment, thereby enhancing product environmental performance and overall market competitiveness.

Analysis and Assessment

I. Price Trend Outlook
- Short-Term Volatility: Antimony trifluoride prices are likely to remain volatile in the near term, influenced by supply-demand dynamics, raw material costs, and supplier strategies.
- Long-Term Trend: With sustained downstream demand growth and gradual capacity expansion, antimony trifluoride prices are expected to maintain steady upward momentum over the long term. Notably, high-purity products—characterized by robust demand and relatively tight supply—are anticipated to experience comparatively stronger price appreciation.

II. Supply-Demand Relationship Forecast
- Supply Expansion: Improvements in domestic production technology and enhanced technical capabilities are expected to gradually increase antimony trifluoride output. Meanwhile, entry of new players will further diversify market supply.
- Demand Growth: Rapid advancement in downstream sectors—including electronics and new energy—will continue to drive demand growth. In particular, demand for high-purity antimony trifluoride in semiconductor manufacturing and new-energy battery applications is projected to remain robust.

About Antimony trifluoride

Antimony trifluoride is a white, crystalline solid at room temperature, odorless and non-volatile, with a melting point of approximately 290 °C and decomposition before boiling. It is an inorganic metal fluoride and a Lewis acidic compound. Primarily used as a catalyst and fluorinating agent, it serves as a key intermediate in the synthesis of other antimony-containing compounds and fluorinated organic molecules. Its main industrial applications include fluorination reactions in the production of refrigerants, pharmaceuticals, and specialty agrochemicals. It is also employed in the manufacture of flame retardants and certain optical glasses.

To catalyze fluorinations by HF, manufacture of chlorofluorides, in dyeing, usually in form of double salts, e.g., antimony sodium fluoride or antimony fluoride and ammonium sulfate double salt, manufacture of pottery and porcelains.
