トリクロサン

トリクロサン（CAS 3380-34-5）は、白色から薄いクリーム色の結晶性固体であり、微かに塩素化フェノール様の臭気を有する。融点は約55–57 °Cであり、常温条件下では揮発性が低い。これは、塩素化芳香族エーテルおよび置換フェノールに分類される。主に広域抗菌剤として使用され、トリクロサンは、抗菌石鹸、歯磨き剤、制汗剤、化粧品などの消費者用衛生用品をはじめ、医療機器、繊維、高分子添加剤などにも有効成分として配合される。また、塗料、接着剤、プラスチックなど、工業分野において微生物制御が必要とされる用途にも応用されている。トリクロサンは、他の商業用化合物の大規模合成における化学中間体としては、一般的には用いられない。

The LD50 of mice subject to oral administration of this product is 4g/kg. 2. It can be used for the production of top-grade daily chemical product, the disinfectants of medical instrument as well as diet instrument as well as the preparation of the anti-bacterial, deodorant finishing agent of fabric. 3. It can also be applied to biochemical studies. It is a kind of broad-spectrum antimicrobial agents which inhibit the type II fatty acid synthase (FAS-II) of bacteria and parasites, and also inhibits the mammalian fatty acid synthase (FASN), and may also have anticancer activity
