Graphene Oxide Market share- How big is the Graphene Oxide market?

China and South Korea are the leading exporters of Graphene Oxide (CAS 2640657-49-2), collectively accounting for over 60% of global export value in 2023–2024, while the United States, Germany, and Japan represent the largest importers by volume and value. Import demand has grown steadily across high-tech manufacturing hubs, coinciding with moderate upward pressure on Graphene Oxide prices amid tightening supply from key Asian producers.

About Graphene Oxide

Graphene oxide is a brown-to-black, odorless solid typically supplied as a powder, aqueous dispersion, or thin film; it is non-volatile and lacks a defined melting or boiling point due to thermal decomposition above ~200 °C. It is classified as a chemically modified carbon nanomaterial—specifically, an oxidized derivative of graphene containing epoxide, hydroxyl, carbonyl, and carboxyl functional groups. Graphene oxide serves primarily as a precursor for the production of reduced graphene oxide and as a functional additive in composite synthesis. Its main industrial applications include reinforcement and conductivity enhancement in polymer composites, coatings, and battery electrodes, as well as use in membrane technologies and conductive inks.
