Natural rubber Market share- How big is the Natural rubber market?

Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam collectively account for over 60% of global natural rubber exports, maintaining their positions as the leading suppliers, while China, the United States, and India are the largest importers, driven by tire manufacturing and industrial demand. Natural rubber prices have exhibited heightened volatility since 2023 amid supply constraints from adverse weather in Southeast Asia and fluctuating demand from automotive markets, contributing to short-term shifts in export volumes and import sourcing patterns.

About Natural rubber

Natural rubber is a creamy-white, elastic solid at room temperature, typically supplied in smoked sheet or crepe forms; it is odorless to mildly characteristic, non-volatile, and softens progressively above ~60 °C without a sharp melting point. It is a high-molecular-weight biopolymer composed primarily of cis-1,4-polyisoprene, classified as a natural elastomer and renewable organic polymer. Natural rubber serves as a key raw material for the production of tires, industrial rubber goods (e.g., conveyor belts, hoses, seals), and medical devices such as gloves and catheters. Its primary application areas include automotive components, construction materials, healthcare products, and general-purpose elastomeric parts—where resilience, tensile strength, and fatigue resistance are critical.

Natural rubber latex is a starting materialfor the rubber industry.
High tensile strength; relatively low per-manent set; insensitive to temperature changes.Attacked by heat, atmospheric oxygen, ozone, hydrocarbons, and unsaturated fats and oils. Insol-uble in acetone. Permeable to gases; supportscombustion; abrasion resistance poor unless com-pounded with carbon black; dissipates vibrationshock; high electrical resistivity.
