DOTP is primarily used as a high-molecular-weight, thermally stable plasticizer in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounds, enhancing flexibility, durability, and processability. Its main applications include wire and cable insulation, automotive interior parts, flooring, medical tubing, and food-contact packaging—where low migration and good extraction resistance are required.
It is used primarily as a plasticizerfor polyvinyl chloride and other polymers.
