Erythritol Market share- How big is the Erythritol market?

China is the dominant global exporter of erythritol, accounting for the vast majority of international shipments, while the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands are the largest importers. Erythritol prices have remained relatively stable amid steady demand growth from food and beverage manufacturers in North America and Europe. Exports from China have continued to expand steadily over the past three years, reflecting sustained production capacity and consistent demand from key importing markets.

About Erythritol

Erythritol is a white, crystalline, odorless solid with a sweet taste and high water solubility; it melts at approximately 121–123 °C and is non-volatile under ambient conditions. It is a naturally occurring sugar alcohol (polyol) classified as an organic chemical compound. Industrially, erythritol is primarily used as a low-calorie bulk sweetener in food and beverage applications, including confectionery, dairy products, and tabletop sweeteners. It also serves as a functional ingredient in oral care products (e.g., toothpaste and chewing gum) due to its non-cariogenic properties and cooling effect. Its stability under heat and acidic conditions supports use in baked goods and acidic beverages.
